Experience Research Lab (ERL) is an art and design research duo with backgrounds as visual artists and designers. Our combined expertise allows us to create works and experiences that tell stories in unexpected and distinctive ways. The Lab is collaborative, and our team approach never seems to develop the expected or even the same idea twice.
The Lab’s purpose is simple — Combine focused research with playful experimentation to continually question how art and design can create unforgettable experiences.

ERL Background
Experience Research Lab (ERL) is a Seattle based collaborative art and design studio led by Taylor Reed and Ian Campbell. Since its founding, ERL has carved a unique approach at the intersection of architecture, graphic design, and visual art. Together, Ian and Taylor leverage their combined expertise to create immersive, multisensory experiences that challenge traditional boundaries and invite audiences into worlds of light, sound, and visual art.
