Aspire

Commissioned by the City Of Spokane in partnership with The Podium

Aspire represents and reflects the community of Spokane, Washington. Located in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, this city is a mecca for sport and recreation.

The installation encompasses universal experiences of athletics, movement, and aspiration through its visual language and abstract design. Whether an athlete, family member or casual viewer, you can see yourself reflected within the 100 individual elements within the artwork.

  • Our design was created through rigorous meetings with local board members from the community. Many aspects of the design arose in collaboration with discussions throughout the design process.

  • Sports are universal and we wanted the icon of the design to showcase something synonymous with all athletics.

  • Within each of the banners are graphic stories that showcase the events that happen in the venue as well as highlight the local lore of the region.
